The Tree View displays the content hierarchy within each Connection. Users can easily explore the contents of each connection or define a scope for scanning/migration by selecting a specific sub-location from the Tree View.

Connection Tree View

Each Connection can be explored from the Tree View in the Connections menu. To display the content of a Connection:
 

  1. Sign into an authorized Transformation Suite administrator account.

  2. Click the Connections link in the pages navigation tabs.
     
  3. Select a connection and click the explore  icon beside the connection name.

  4. Each subfolder and supported object type will display in the Tree View if the connection is configured correctly. 

Tree View in Surveyor 

Note: If a Location is selected within the Tree View in Surveyor, the scanning scope and reports will be limited to the selected location and all child objects.

  1. Sign into an authorized Transformation Suite administrator account.

  2. Click the Reports link in the page navigation tabs.
     
  3. Select a connection and click the Scan button to create a new scanning scope.
     
  4. Beside the Scan Scope field, press the explore  icon to display the entire data hierarchy of the connection.

  5. Select a subfolder or other object to only scan that location.

Tree View in Transformer 

Note: Both source and target locations can be selected from the Tree View. All child objects in the source location will be migrated to the selected target location. All mappings will be correctly applied to the limited migration scope.

  1. Sign into an authorized Transformation Suite administrator account.

  2. Click the Bridges link in the page navigation tabs.
     
  3. Click the Add button to create a new Bridge.
     
  4. Select a source and target connection and click the explore  icon to display the Tree View
     
  5. Choose a specific starting and target location within the connections to create a limited migration scope.
