AppBridge Documentation : Conversion Maps

Caution: Conversion Maps have been replaced by Settings Templates. If you believe you need to modify a Conversion Map, please contact AppBridge support at support@appbridge.io.

Conversion maps are used by Settings Templates to apply settings and map object types between different environments.

Conversion maps contain many configuration steps that will act on objects as they are migrated.

Example: Changing the title of an object is a configuration step within a Conversion Map

The AppBridge Migration Platform contains Automatic Conversion Maps with recommended settings for every supported Bridge type. Default Settings Templates are driven by Automatic Conversion Maps behind the scenes.

  3. Select the desired Settings Template from the Settings Templates list, and click the additional options button in the Settings Templates toolbar.

  4. Click the Edit Settings Template Packages entry in the drop down menu to open the Conversion Map editing screen.

  8. Set Additional options can be set after conversion packages are set for each object type.

Note: If you wish to add a User or Location Mapping to the bridge, you must add the corresponding User Mapping and Location mapping packages from Additional options.

  9. Click the Save and Close button to create your custom conversion mapping.  Your newly created Conversion Map will now appear in the Conversion Map list.

Deleting Conversion Maps

Custom Conversion Maps can be deleted by deleting the Settings Template that corresponds to the Conversion Map.
