The AppBridge Transformation Suite (ATS) can connect to any location within a file server or attached storage drive which can be accessed via a UNC path (assume case-sensitivity in path names). In order to establish a connection between the ATS Platform and the data repository, all source locations must be made visible to the Platform server.

Note: File Share connections can be set up on locations not accessible to the ATS Platform or not configured to be externally visible by installing an ATS connection Node on a server in the remote network and associating it with the Platform.

Prerequisites

1. A user account with full control rights across the entire data repository

2. A UNC path to the data repository
3. Granting the ATS Platform Data repository access (via networking rules or by installing a connection node)
4. Administrator access to the AppBridge Transformation Suite and selected transformation project

Supported File Share Types

The Transformation Suite supports connecting to file shares of the following types:

Type
Windows File Servers
NAS
SAN
USB
Local HDD
Network Shares
NFS Repositories
WebDAV Repositories

Add Connection

  1. Ensure the data repository is visible to the ATS Platform by accessing it from the Platform server.

  2. (Remote Data Location) Install a Connection Node on the server which contains the data repository, or on a server within the topology that has access to the data repository and designate a port for the ATS service to communicate with the connection node (for more instructions on installing a connection node, please consult the connection node installation guide).

    1. Login to the AppBridge Transformation Suite and navigate to the Node Servers menu.

    2. Add the connection Node to the ATS Platform.

  3. Navigate to the Connections menu, click the Add button and select the Fileshare connection type.

  4. Select the connection node in the server field.

  5. Input the path to the data repository.

  6. If alternate credentials are required to access the repository, select the "Alternate Credentials" and input the Domain, Username and Password and press the "Connect" button.

  7.  Click the "Add Connection" button in the Create Connection menu.
